06/12/2008 - ITW! - I have just learned that I have been selected as one of two authors to receive the International Thriller Writers Debut Author Scholarship! This means that I will be attending this year's Thrillerfest in NYC. If you're going to be there, make sure to say hello. I'll be the guy that's in wide-eyed awe after getting to meet several of my favorite authors (James Rollins, Clive Cussler, Steve Berry...the list goes on and on). For more on Thriller fest, click here.

03/10/2008 - BIG NEWS! I can now confirm that I have landed a THREE BOOK DEAL with Thomas Dunne Books! I've been working on this for a year now and all the hard work has finally paid off. The three books are a series based on a team of Delta Force operatives known as the Chess Team: King, Queen, Rook, Knight, Bishop and their handler, Deep Blue.

The three novels are tentatively titled ROUSE, PULSE and SPEAK. Here's the description of book one published in Publisher's Marketplace:

Jeremy Robinson's, ROUSE, book one of the Chess Team series, combines the twisting plotlines and high adventure of James Rollins with the frantic pacing of Matthew Reilly. The team of Delta Force operatives battle a terrorist-friendly biopharmaceutical company working on human limb regeneration, whose experiments unleash the pinnacle of physical regeneration-the ancient creature known as the Hydra.

This is an amazing, career making deal and I'm thrilled and honored to have been signed by such a great publisher. For those who don't know, Thomas Dunne is, they're an imprint of St. Martin's Press and the publisher of authors like Matthew Reilly, Stel Pavlou and David Lynn Golemon. Now that is good company!

12/07/2007 - You can now find me on Myspace AND on Facebook. The Myspace page is like an event, featuring videos, a blog, sample chapters from unfinished and not yet published books, contests, photos and more. The Facebook page...not so special, but I'm working on it! One guy can only social network so much. But please give me a holler on either site and join my growing list of friends!

Choose your adventure!

10/10/2007 - OK,  so I didn't win the MediaPredict.com Project Publish  contest, but The Didymus Contingency was a finalist in the contest, and it was a lot of fun.

Ultimately, and perhaps predictably, the publisher—Touchstone, an imprint of Simon&Schuster, chose to publish Hollywood Car Wash, which indeed looks to be a great book. Am I upset about the loss? Not especially. Before entering the contest I checked out Touchstone's line up and there wasn't a thriller among the bunch, let alone a religious thriller, so it was clear from the outset I wouldn't win. But the experience was great and being chosen as a finalist was a nice stamp of approval. It also got some nice media coverage for me, which is free marketing! And I'm always up for that.

08/14/2007 - Raising the Past is now available as a FREE E-BOOK at WOWIO.com. As are most of the other Breakneck Books titles. Antarktos Rising and The Didymus Contingency are not because of some possible upcoming deals.

Why is Raising the Past free? How could I agree to something so obviously insane? There is a lot of information that shows an increase in sales for physical books when the e-book version is given away for free. This is because of word-of-mouth. So, check out Raising the Past from WOWIO.com. Check out all the other Breakneck Books titles. And if you like them, spread the word.

Check out all the Breakneck Titles on WOWIO here, or check out Raising the Past by following the link under the RTP cover image to the left. The only downside of this is that WOWIO books are only available to US residents.

08/02/2007 -
Antarktos Rising is now out and available on Amazon.com (and just about everywhere else). The book debuted on Amazon at a whopping 539 sales rank, my highest ever. It was also #6 in Action-Adventure and was highlighted as a Hot New Release. Of course, the best news is that the book is ranked #1 in the Crop Circle category! Wha?! Crop Circle category?! Why does Amazon have a crop circle category and why is Antarktos Rising in it? Strange but true.

For reviews, videos, and author endorsements, see the book's page here, or check it out on Amazon.com!

OTHER GREAT AUTHORS

I'm a huge fan of the genre I write and read books by these authors like they were my Grandma Vincent's homemade chocolate bon-bons on Christmas Eve. If you're a fan of any of these authors, you'll feel right at home within the pages of my books.

www.jamesrollins.com - My favorite author, and my biggest supporter, James Rollins, bestselling author of BLACK ORDER and THE JUDAS STRAIN can do no wrong in my book. I've been a fan since reading SUBTERRANEAN maybe seven years ago.

www.prestonchild.com - Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child are the fantastic writing duo that brought us THE RELIC, DEEP STORM and BOOK OF THE DEAD. Whether they're writing together or solo, these guys don't miss.

www.matthewreilly.com - Matthew Reilly's novels are basically action-adventure/thrillers on speed. I love his creative and his non-stop pace. His first novel, CONTEST is not only my favorite of his, but it was also originally self-published...no wonder I like him!

www.stevealten.com - Steve Alten thinks big...big creatures that is. I discovered his books about two years ago and read one after the other until I ran out, finishing with THE LOCH, which I have to admit was a major inspiration (along with his MEG series) for the novel I just finished writing.

www.crichton-official.com - Not including his two most recent book, Michael Crichton is the master of science based thrillers. JURASSIC PARK, THE LOST WORLD, TIMELINE, SPHERE and PREY all rank among my favorite novels.

www.scottsigler.com Scott is not only a cool guy, but he also writes awesome novels. Ancestor, which I blurbed, is one of my favorite new novels. Look for his future books, INFESTED and NOCTURNAL from Crown Books.

www.jackdubrulbooks.com - When you're looking for action adventure novels, Jack DuBrul's character, Phillip Mercer, can't be beat. And now that DuBrul is teaming up with the granddaddy of the genre, Clive Cussler, we'll be seeing a lot more from him.
