RAGNAROK HAS BEGUN!

Filed under: Novels,Updates — Tags: action-adventure, chess team, creature feature, jack sigler, nazi conspiracy, novel, Ragnarok, release, thriller — Jeremy Robinson @ 10:35 am

RAGNAROK, the fourth installment of the Jack Sigler Thrillers hits stores today in all formats (print, e-book and audio). This is, by far, the wildest Chess Team story yet, and in my opinion, feature’s one of the coolest creatures I have yet to conjure. Myth and science collide once again and chaos ensues. Will the team come togehter to defeat this new global threat, or will they stay divided and fall? Grab a copy and find out!

Also worth mentioning is that RAGNAROK was co-authored by Kane Gilmour, who also co-wrote CALLSIGN: DEEP BLUE and has edited something like twenty of my books, including the Chesspocalypse novellas. After me, no one knows the Chess Team better than Kane. We had a great time writing the novel and I think you’ll have more fun reading it. And for those of you who buy print books still, you’re in for a treat. The trade paperback, released by Seven Realms Publishing, was designed inside and out by your’s truly and is, in my humble opinion, a thing of beauty. Despite the format change from hardcover to trade paper, I think you’ll be pleased.

Let the craziness ensue!

DESCRIPTION:

It starts with a thunderous crack and a flash of light. Screams come next. Then the hunters. With a staccato flicker, the light disappears and everything within a hundred yard radius goes with it. A massive crater is all that remains where a chunk of the world has gone missing.

As the deadly phenomenon repeats and expands amidst the world’s most densely populated cities—carving apartment buildings in half, scooping away entire city blocks, and claiming thousands of lives—Jack Sigler, Callsign: King and his black ops team take action. But the team is broken, spread across the globe and vulnerable. Scrambling to make sense of the violent disappearances and fighting to reunite, the team comes face-to-face with an otherworldly enemy capable of making the fearless…terrified.

Taking the battle to the ends of the Earth—and beyond—the team combats a savage enemy whose centuries-old plan for mankind has nearly reached fruition. If they fail, the planet will become little more than a fully stocked food cache for a creature whose presence heralds the beginning of Ragnarök—and the extinction of the human race.

  1. Thumbs up! Another successful Chess Team read!!! Jeremy, you just don’t stop do you? Book was awesome…what’s coming next with the Chess Team…
How did you and your family fare with Hurricane Sandy. I am in Philly and we were spared the worst…I feel so sad for NJ and NY, CT, RI, MA, did it get up to New Hampshire?

  2. Next for the Chess Team will likely be a “Origins” novella about how the team was formed and then novel #5 next fall, once again with Kane. We got hit pretty good. A tree nearly destroyed my office, but we made it through unscathed and the generator kept the lights on. Glad you enjoyed Ragnarok!

  5. Jeremy
A great read, looking forward to more. Yes I will give rating on Amazon. You booksare a great distraction from my PhD dissertstion writing. One day I will get back to writing for Kindle, thanks for the advice on how to do the Kindle thing. I still have not published the one I mentioned in email but I will. Just a thought perhaps a novella on King’s new nemesis. It might be fun and could give you and Kane some ideas for future works. Who knows, demigod or just a long lived man, Herakles, has lasted through the test of time……pun intended!

  7. Let me tell you something Jeremy Robinson, I read about 20 books a year and I started your first novel on the Chess team in late January of this year; the only bad part is I just finished Ragnarok and man now I have to wait which I am not good at at all. But if there was anything I could say it would be simply “fantastic”, the beautifully blended compostion of mythology, science, and present day activities is amazing and extremely well thought out. Also, because of your novellas with other writers I have started to look into their work as well. It gets very distressing when you start counting down the books left to read of my new favorite writer, which just happens to be you. Last year the literature community, at least in my opinion, suffered a loss when Z.A. Recht died, but then I found your first book because of one of his reviews. Just wanted to say I can not wait for the next books on the line and have already preorder Island 731. I am one of those still buying print books because I look at a screen all day and I still like the feel of paper. You keep writing them and I’ll keep buying the paper books.

  8. Thanks Wesley! Really appreciate it and I’m glad you discovered me despite the unfortunate circumstances. Will have a Chess Team announcement out soon. Probably next week, so stay tuned!

  9. Excellent! Chess Team does it again. I was reading about Loki and assorted Asgardian gods with my library science students (4th & 5th ) and I picked this this up for my Kindle home reading. WOW! I loved the dire wolves, and their “mother.” I wish more authors would incorporate some of the old myths in “tween” books. I look forward to the next instalment in the Chess Team Adventures. Maybe I’ll start a series that kids can read…

  10. Thrilled to hear it, Carol! Do you know about The Antarktos Saga?? They’re my young adult series following a teenage boy (he’s 14 in the first book) through a subterranean realm beneath Antarctica and populated by ancient gods from all the old myths. Probably okay for 10 and up, though I’ve heard of some 8-year-olds reading it. The harshest thing about it is the violence, which is on par with Hunger Games, though the hero doesn’t have to harm another human being until book 5 and it really tears him up. Anywho, you might like it: http://www.jeremyrobinsononline.com/books/the-antarktos-saga-by-jeremy-robinson.html
