After a few delays, the fourth installment of THE ANTARKTOS SAGA is now available in all e-book formats (print will be available in a few weeks). As the title suggests, this book is rough on Sol, but it is also the setup for the fifth and final book, THE LAST HUNTER – ONSLAUGHT, so you’re in for some big revelations, surprising twists and some very cool story developments as THE ANTARKTOS SAGA and ANTARKTOS RISING fully merge. If that’s not enough to get you interested, you probably haven’t read the first three books, and should go do that right now. But if you need the story description before rushing off to buy Lament, here it is!

Description:

In all the days since my kidnapping, breaking and transformation into a hunter at the hands of the half-human, half-demon Nephilim, my life has been a mass of chaotic actions and reactions to the horrors of the Antarctic underworld. I have battled unnatural monsters, fled for my life, and sacrificed everything—or thought I had, when I stepped through the gates of Tartarus. Every choice I have made was in response to forces beyond my control, lacking any kind of direction.

But now, reunited with my friends, Kainda and Em, and in the company of new friends, Wright and Kat, I am taking control of the chaos and choosing my own direction—down. Deeper than the realm of Hades, the most feared of the Nephilim, deeper than the gates of Tartarus and deeper than any human being has ventured since the beginnings of the human race.

My goal is simple—find the Jericho shofar, a weapon revealed to me by Chronus the Titan. I don’t know what it does or how it works, but I know the Nephilim fear it and that Nephil, possessing the body of Ninnis, will do anything to stop me from recovering it. The path will be dangerous and the cost might be great, but my path is clear: retrieve the shofar, return to the surface and prepare for war.

My name is Solomon Ull Vincent—the Last Hunter—and I am done running.

  1. I’m well into this story on my Kindle. Hoo Ha !!!! This sure is well crafted, Jeremy. Usually in a multi-book series, things get a little loose after the 2nd or 3rd book. This one is even tighter and paces like mad. Putting it down is hard..
I sure do like this series. This is the kind of writing that makes me spend my money… I always get more than I expected…
    Thanks Jeremy

  2. YES!!! I’ve been so looking forward to this next book in the series. Robinson is an incredible story teller, his characters complex and “alive;” I am 100% invested in Solomon’s journey.

  3. It’s about &%^(^$& time Jeremy!!!! :-)

  4. Jeremy – Have finished lament and am dying to kow what comes next… Solomon going back Mira (for hope) was the perfect ending and the links to Antarktos Rising are great but where (and when) from here….??? I commute for three hours a day and lament only lasted 2 days so I need something, anything… Seriously – great read and absolutely enthralling subject and spread – many many thanks.

  5. Soooo goood, The Last Hunter Series, Amazonia and Subterranean — my all time favorites. Books that I will re-read and never get tired of. Can’t wait for the final one.

  6. What is the final book of the Antarktos Series and is it out yet?

    Comment by Bobbi — July 18, 2012 @ 2:54 pm

  7. Thanks Richard! Keeping the book interesting and fast-paced over the course of the series was a concern of mine, too. It was originally supposed to be a six book series, but after the first two I decided to switch it to five so I wasn’t just dragging things out. Be sure to post a review when you’re done! ;)

  8. Hey Peter, glad you liked the ending with Mira. That was one of those things I hadn’t planned on, but when it came to me (about half way through the book) I knew it was the missing element I had been trying to figure out.

  9. The fifth and final book, THE LAST HUNTER – ONSLAUGHT will be out by Christmas. Can’t get more specific than that at this point.

    Comment by Jeremy Robinson — July 18, 2012 @ 4:14 pm

  10. Well, JR, another great thrill ride! I love these books. I thought I had more to read when I got the end I was WTF!!! I hate it on the Kindle when it says you are at 89% of the book and then BAM, you are done. All kidding aside, I liked the way the book ended, it made sense to end it that way to set us up for the BIG finish (you are going to provide a BIG finish, right? ;-) .

Looking forward to RAGNORAK and the RAVEN as well.

You know summer is a time know for vacations/relaxation. Hopefully you have gotten to take a well earned respid!!

    Take care

  11. Since discovering Jeremy Robinson a couple of months ago I have devoured every one of his books. The only fault I can find with them is that the next book in whichever series I am currently reading is never out soon enough, leaving me to fill my time reading authors with much less talent! This latest book is no exception. Well done Mr Robinson! Another throughly enjoyable read. PLEASE HURRY WITH THE NEXT ONE…….

    Comment by Lloyd Whitlam — July 25, 2012 @ 5:55 am

  12. Thanks, Lloyd! I think if I write any faster, my keyboard may explode. Or my brain. But there will be 3 – 4 new releases before the end of the year! Just hold out another couple months. :) — Jeremy

  13. Read all four installments in less than two days, so much for buying books to last my entire summer vacation! The story is exactly what I look for in a book/series – high paced, captivating, witty and very well written. Really looking forward to the next one!

  14. Sweet! That’s what I like to hear!

  15. Love the final installment – I accidentally ran across the series – and have become a fan of al your books. I average at least 1 and a half books a week so I can hardly wait for the next one.

    Comment by Roger — August 3, 2012 @ 2:54 pm

  16. Thoroughly impressed with your work… when I discovered your novels 2 years ago, I started at the beginning – literally! With your Origins editions. When I first read Anarktos Rising, I was duly impressed, yet saddened by the fact that it seemed like a standalone novel. Imagine my delight when I recognized at the end of Pursuit that you were bringing it all together! Jeremy, I can honestly say that I have enjoyed seeing your growth as an author through these books, and I thank you for bringing me so deeply into Sol’s world!

  26. Hey Jeremy I absolutely love this series. First that I’ve read from you but ill definitely be reading more. Haven’t read anything like this since reading the first 8 of the barsoom series by Edgar rice Burroughs. I really can’t wait for for the final book. Been recommended this series to everyone. Any advice on which of your series to read next? I’m sure that’s not an easy question just curious of your opinion haha

Thank you and keep up the good work!

    Comment by Derek Caruso — November 21, 2012 @ 1:20 am

  27. Hmmm. Have you read Antarktos Rising? It’s the original stand alone novel that inspired the Hunter books and features Mira and Merrill, their surviving of the global crust shift and the race on Antarktos. Kind of a side story now.

After that, check out PULSE. It’s the first novel in my Jack Sigler thriller series. But be warned, while Hunter is appropriate for a YA audience, the Jack Sigler books are an adult novel series so the violence and language are a bit more harsh. After PULSE comes INSTINCT, THRESHOLD and RAGNAROK, and there are EIGHT novellas that fill the gap between Threshold and Ragnarok. So, lots of reading there.

Hope you enjoy them all! Hunter 5, will be out soon!!

  28. Jeremy – I have to add my name to the list of those that are anxiously awaiting November 26th for the conclusion to the Antarktos series. I haven’t been this excited about a book release in a LONG time. Keep up the great writing.

    Comment by Scott — November 21, 2012 @ 12:26 pm

  29. Jeremy,
Just finished the 5th book. It was all that I hoped for and more! The epilogues were awesome and gave me a sense of completeness that I’m not accustomed to at the end of a series. Even if I thought the ‘Steve’ thing was a little corny I loved every moment of this book and the entire series. The best YA series I’ve read to date by far and I can’t thank you enough for all the research and dedication you’ve poured into these books for us the readers. I can’t song you praise enough haha.
I plan to read the chess team series next but I know I’ll be rereading this series in the future!

    Many thanks
    Derek Caruso
