That’s right, the third book in the Brainstorm Trilogy (Callsign: King, Callsign: King – Underworld and Callsign: King – Blackout) is now out and available in e-book and print formats. If you haven’t started this novella triple threat yet, visit the Chesspocalypse page for links to buy all three. OR, give me another month or two and I’ll have the collection released as a single omnibus. All together, the Brainstorm Trilogy is nearly 140,000 words long—the length of a very long novel. At $2.99 a pop (for the e-book), you’re getting a brand new, super-sized Jack Sigler thriller for under $10 (they’re normally $12.99 — Threshold was $15). For a fair comparison, the print books are $9.99 each for a total of $30, just $2 more than the Threshold cover price, but 30,000 words longer. Here’s the story summary:

Twice before, Jack Sigler—Callsign: King—has stopped the mysterious ‘Brainstorm’ from destroying all life on earth. Twice before, he’s survived Brainstorm’s assassins. So when the mastermind behind Brainstorm surfaces in Paris, King goes on the offensive.

As the final showdown unfolds in the legendary City of Lights, the villain’s scheme to plunge the world into literal darkness is revealed. But even Brainstorm isn’t ready for the destructive force that has been unleashed…an entity of darkness imprisoned for more than a thousand years, set free now to devour…everything.

The blackout has begun… When the sun rises, the world will end.

  2. Jeremy, another great thrill ride. I see you and Sean came up with new and sick ways for people to depart the land of the living. Let’s see if Kane can top that! ;-) . I sure hope that we will be seeing more of Alexander. He always makes things interesting!

P.S. Can’t wait for SecondWorld (well, actually I can but am really looking forward to it ;-) .

  7. Right now, for the rest of 2012, we have:

    1. May 22 – SecondWorld
    2. Late June/early July – The Last Hunter – Lament
    3. October 23 – Ragnarok
    4. “4th Quarter 2012″ (that’s all I know) – the untitled sequel to The Sentinel (Jeremy Bishop)
    5. And then, The Last Hunter – Onslaught. Not sure when that will come out, though. Could be September. Could be November. Just need to make sure it doesn’t conflict with Ragnarok or The Sentinel sequel. Oh yeah, and I need to write it. :)

  8. Just finished reading this and it was well worth the wait. The action picks up right at start and keep you at the edge of your seat right till end. As usual the blend of action, hard science and mythology was awesome. What I like most about the Chess Team series is every book has a different myth and different science to go with it. Also your novellas always read as full length books. I also like how it provided a little bit of exposition into one of my favorite characters (Hint: Not the hero). I can’t wait to find our more about that guy. Will we see him in Ragnarok ?
My only piece of criticism is the name of the Indian guy, when translated to Hindi, means monkey. Who names their son monkey ?

p.s. The book that King picked up at the airport, I see what you did there. ;-)

  9. Can’t wait to get your 2012 novels!! Will all of them be available via iBooks?

    Comment by Adam — June 13, 2012 @ 10:53 pm

  10. They should be, yes! BUT, it takes a lot longer for them to get up on iBooks for some reason. So most will be on a slightly delayed release schedule.
