The Last Hunter – Pursuit

The Last Hunter - Pursuit

The second book of the Antarktos Saga is available now!

The brutalizing of Solomon Ull Vincent continues in The Last Hunter – Pursuit. New characters are introduced and things get intense as Solomon must now confront his personal demons along with the actual demons seeking to capture, break and remake him. I’m hoping to have book 3 (of five) out this fall and the final two books out in 2012. The Hunter series is the best of all my books, containing the same brutal action as my other novels, but with a strong first person voice and a lot more heart and a fantastical world that really lets my imagination run wild.

If you haven’t read the first Hunter book, pick it up here, and then hit book 2. If you’re a fan of any of my books, you’re going to enjoy this ride.

The book is available in ALL e-book formats AND print. Snag THE LAST HUNTER -PURSUIT:

from Amazon
from Barnes&Noble
from Smashwords

STORY:

I was thirteen years old when I was kidnapped. They took me from my family, from my friends-from everything I knew, and stole my innocence. They brought me to a world beneath the surface of Antarctica, where I was broken and trained by a hunter named Ninnis. He served the ancient Nephilim: half-human, half-demon monsters. My personality was buried in my subconscious and replaced by that of Ull, a hunter and killer. For a time, I too served the Nephilim. As the first and only human born on Antarctica, they believed that I could contain the spirit of their fallen king, Nephil, and lead them to conquer humanity.

But I was stronger than they knew and escaped deep into the underworld, where I have been hiding for the past two years. I live in a cavern, which is somehow lush with green vegetation, eking out a living and cowering from the confrontation that I know awaits me. But the nightmare has found me. I can smell them. The hunters. They have discovered my hideout.

The pursuit of Solomon Ull Vincent-the last hunter-has begun. And if they catch me, this is where my story will end.

  1. Can’t wait for the third book!!! Also, I’m dying to know…is Jeremy Bishop one of your pen names? And why have secret pen names? Just curious :)

  2. Thanks Sarah! Why have secret pen names? There are several reasons. The first is to attract a different audience that might have already made up their mind about the first name. OR, if an author was going to write something his current audience might not like, or might be offended by, a pen name could come in handy. Or, as is the case with my Kutyuso Deep pen name for my up coming humor book, The Ninja’s Path, it’s just funny. And if I were going to use a pen name, I think I would use the callsigns of the Chess Team characters for last names. Jeremy Knight. Jeremy King. Jeremy….. You get the idea. ;)

  4. Probably November. I’m finishing up another of the Jeremy B— err, pen name novels. Then hitting Hunter 3. And then the next hardcover, all before 2011 ends! Ouch.

  5. What is the reading order for the Antarktos Saga? I’ve read somewhere that Book#3 will take place during/after Antarktos rising?

    Comment by Jenny — June 24, 2011 @ 7:54 pm

  6. The Last Hunter – Descent is book 1
The Last Hunter – Pursuit is book 2
The Last Hunter – Ascent is book 3 and will parallel Antarktos
The books and stories will totally converge in book 5.
Book 5 will finish everything. In some ways, Antarktos Rising is now a side story, even though it came first. Enjoy!

  9. Enjoy all your books. Now impatiently waiting for the rest of the “Call Signs”. I will have to start on your non-series books. Any recommendations regarding order?

  10. Glad you’re enjoying the books. It’s hard to say which stand alone to recommend. There is no clear favorite among readers. I think the book most similar to the Chess books is Antarktos Rising, and the story gets woven into the Last Hunter series. If you haven’t read the Last Hunter books (2 out of 5 are out now) I would highly recommend those. They’re my personal favorites.

  11. Then I have done well. Already read both Last Hunter books (waiting for that third. Have already started Antarktos Rising

  12. Thanks for answering my question! I truly didn’t think I’d get an answer :) Love the books, so much so that I loaned my paperback version of Antarktos Rising out and can’t remember who has it (or they won’t admit they have it), so I purchased the kindle edition, too, even though my book budget must be cut (I’m already eating pasta and Ramen as it is). :)

  13. Big Fan! I finished the Pursuit while on a long drive this afternoon. I sat there in the car praying when I get home and log in to your website I will see there are more books coming. THANK YOU. Loved the story and the characters. Don’t recall being so glued to a book since I read Amazonia (Rollins) and Ender’s Game (Card)… so thank you for sharing this with us and I am dying to read more!

  14. Glad you’re enjoying the books. The next Hunter book should be out in November. SHOULD being the operative word. I’ve put a little too much on my plate…but I’ve never missed a deadline. :)
