I get asked this question a lot. When’s the next book coming out? Are you writing sequels to any books? What are you working on now?
In an attempt to answer all these questions, I’m going to post a quick reply here, and then post new blog posts detailing each of the projects listed in this post.
What’s next for the Chess Team? The next Chess Team (now called Jack Sigler Thrillers–stores were wary of the nerdy sounding Chess Team) is titled THRESHOLD and will be out next Spring (March/April). I will release cover, summary, and final release date the moment I have them.
What about a book 4? Will the series continue? Hopefully. Right now the proposals for Book 4, THE RAGNAROK AGENDA, Book 5, THE TESLA EFFECT and Book 6, DARK MATTER are with the publisher. My editor already mentioned he loved the story for book 4 when I showed it to him a few months ago, so I suspect the series will continue, but I can’t say for certain. Yet.
Are you working on a new series? Yes. The new series is titled SecondWorld. It’s a three book, post apocalyptic epic. I have 20% of the first book in the series complete and plan on finishing the rest this summer. The proposal for this series is also with my publisher.
Are you planning any sequels to your earlier novels? Sort of. I currently have no plans to write sequels to THE DIDYMUS CONTINGENCY, RAISING THE PAST, BENEATH or KRONOS, but I am working on a six book young adult series that takes place in the universe of ANTARKTOS RISING. The first three books are prequels to ANTARKTOS. The fourth book parallels ANTARKTOS and the last two books finish out both series. The first book in this series, SOLOMON – THE DESCENT is complete and with my agent.
Any other projects brewing? Yessiree. Last year I completed two short inspirational books….for ninjas and zombies. THE NINJA’S PATH by Kutyuso Deep and THE ZOMBIE’S WAY by Ike Onsoomyu (sound out the pen names). Both contain forty inspirational sayings accompanied by illustrations (also by me) that are sure to inspire the silent assassin and recently undead. Both books are awaiting judgment by my publisher.
So, in total, counting the series books, I have FOURTEEN books in the works, all of which I’m waiting to hear some kind of news about. Yikes.
